Sign Up Now for Our 2012 Summer Camps!
We are thrilled to announce our HFAC Actors Academy’s 2012 Summer Camps! We believe in providing the highest quality educational theatre programs in Houston – and do so within an incredibly supportive, loving environment. We LOVE our HFAC kids, and since we enjoy a very high retention rate for our students, we know that they and their families love what we do. Come enjoy your Summer with us!

Our performance camps are held all Summer long – and are fully-produced shows with gorgeous costumes, sets, props, lighting, etc. Every performance camp is led by a highly-qualified professional staff, including the Director, Music Director, and Choreographer. In addition, student interns serve as Stage Managers, Tech Crew, and Run Crew.
Performances and Showcases
Every three week performance camp culminates in 4-6 performances for family and friends – as well as neighborhood childcare centers. Each parent will receive 2 free tickets to a performance of their choice. Additional tickets can be purchased at $5.00 per person for shows featuring 1st – 6th grade performers, and $10.00 per person for shows featuring 7th – 12th grade performers. Shows sell out fast – order yours soon!
Each one week camp has a Showcase on the final camp day for family and friends. These showcases are free to all, and seats fill up fast. Please plan accordingly as you will not want to miss this exciting event!
All Camps Include:
- Two complimentary tickets to the show
- Camp T-shirt
- Script
- Musical Score (if applicable)
- Individually fitted costume
- Daily materials
Before-Camp Care
Before-Camp Care is available for all twelve weeks of camps, June 4 to August 24, providing supervised activities for students. Before-Camp Care starts at 7:00 am and continues until 9:00 am. Tuition for this service is $5/half hour per day and can be added at the time or registration or may be added at any time by calling the Academy office at 281/683-2623. If Before-Camp Care is purchased when your child signs up for camp, it can qualify for additional discounts.
Examples of Before-Camp Care Tuition:
8:00-8:30 am $5.00/day or $25.00/week
7:00-8:30 am $15.00/day or $75.00/week
After-Camp Care
After-Camp Care is also available for all twelve weeks of camps, June 4 to August 24, providing supervised activities for students. After-Camp Care starts at 3:00 pm and continues until 6:00 pm. Tuition for this service is $5/half hour per day and can be added at the time or registration or may be added at any time by calling the Academy office at 281/683-2623. If After-Camp Care is purchased when your child signs up for camp, it can qualify for additional discounts.
Examples of After-Camp Care Tuition:
3:00-3:30 pm $5.00/day or $25.00/week
3:30-5:30 pm $15.00/day or $60.00/week
Snacks and Lunches
Please send water, snacks and lunches for your child. Concession Cards are available for $10.00 and can be used throughout the year. Concession Cards are left at HFAC for ease of use, enable your child to get snacks without needing cash, and your child gets 12 snacks for the price of 10!
Waitlists
Many of our camps sell out quickly, so waitlists will be created. To be waitlisted for a camp, fill out a registration form and indicate your desired camp. Although a form of payment is required, you will only be charged if you receive a call from us, and you accept an open space.
Rescheduling
If you find that you need to switch your child’s camp after registering, call us at (281) 685-2623 to request a change. We will do our very best to make the change work, however, switching camps is contingent on space availability.
Refunds
The Summer Camp Refund Policy allows for a Gift Certificate credit or a tuition refund up to May 1st, 2012. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for Summer Camps after the May 1st refund deadline.
